Extra Virgin Minerals Cream Compact.

Well hello there!..

How's your Saturday been? Mine has been completely uneventful and massively boring! I've spent the day in bed accompanied by corn flakes, cold pizza & Netflix. What a good ol' combination!

Anyway tonight I just thought I'd share with you a foundation which I love. This is one which I found myself loving early on this year and have been using it nearly every day since... Its the Extra Virgin Minereals Cream Compact by The Body Shop.

These were on offer not long ago and I stocked up!
I think this just proves my love for them, haha.
Where do I begin to explain my love for this beautiful foundation? Hmmm... First of all, it goes on like a foundation and sets very matte, like a powder so if you don't want to many layers of makeup and you don't have anything too heavy, this is perfect. Its also thick/heavy coverage so you don't need much, and a little goes a long way. It comes in a massive range of colour's and tone's - so there's something for everybody and its easy for you to really find the colour that's perfect for you. Instead of your usual; Ivory, Medium, Dark, extra you have (for example) 102, 205, 308 ect... The list is never ending! So if you can't find one for you, I'll be suprised. I wear number 302, Golden Beige, and its a great colour for my olivey/white skin tone.

I use this compact as a concealer if I'm having a really spotty day and need something extra on top of another foundation... Its easy to just use your finger and dab into the area necessary. I also really like it for under my eyes because its so easy to blend in and conceal dark circles without being obvious. I would also dab abit of this on if I was having a no make up day but wanted a teeny-weeny bit of coverage.

Another thing I adore about this product is its slim line packaging, I love that I can just chuck this into my handbag and not need to worry about bringing a concealer, powder and foundation out with me. All I need is this one product which just slides into my bag and I don't even notice its there! I even take it in my clutch with me on a night out. It is even so convenient that it hides a sneaky little brush underneath! Perfect!  I love the fact it comes with a proper brush too instead of a crappy sponge that everyone chucks away after opening. The little brush that comes with this you can use over and over again (even on other products!)

I also love how this lasts on my skin. I find some foundations slip off your face and after a few hours you think "why did I bother?" but I've never found that with this one. I check my make up mid-way through the day and its still the same as when I applied it that morning, what a dream. :)

Out of ten I would give this product an 11. I love it, I love the fact its easy and quick to apply, I love the coverage, I love the range of colour's it comes in, I love the packaging, I love the brush, and I love the feel of it... Its one of those foundations that doesn't really feel as though you've got any on.. Its not heavy or cakey, y'know? Its just perfect and one of my favorite foundations... I just thought I'd share with you on this dull evening because its something I use daily and don't think it gets enough recognition! Honestly, go try one!

The Body Shop Goodies.

Well hello there!...

Sat over on my window sill staring at me were my newest The Body Shop goodies... So, of course, I thought I'd share them with you! They're almost saying to me "blog about us" and who am I to not  make their dreams come true? Haha...

First of all I got a amazing new reed diffuser. (It smells incredible!) Pomegranate & Raspberry are probably my favorite scent from the Body Shop's home fragrance range. As I mentioned in my previous post I am having my bedroom decorated at the moment so I thought this would be perfect as a new addition in my new room!

Secondly, I scooped up my usual's; Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo & Banana Conditioner. I love these two products and use them so regularly that it would be silly not to get them!  I absolutley love the smell of both of them, I know ginger is a "love it" or "hate it" kind of smell but I flipping love it...And it reminds me of Christmas! So that's an added bonus.

Thirdly, I picked up something I've been eyeing up for a while and that's the Moringa body milk. I've not always been a fan of the Moringa fragrance and often thought it smelt like old grannies! But in recent months its grown on me and become one of my favorites and one which I wear regularly. The body milk appealed to me because it so different from your usual moisturizer...I am very much a body butter kind of girl but I wanted to get this just to try something different. Basically, you work this like you would a perfume. You spritz the top of the bottle and direct it where on the body you want moisturize...And then you just rub it in! Simple as that. Its alot thinner than most body lotions & potions but I think that's what's appealing about it - its something different. And not everybody wants thick moisture.  I've been loving it lately and have found its strong in fragrance so I can smell the lovely Moringa scent a-l-l-d-a-y!

Next I scooped up two more of The Body Shops festive apple range. I chose the Eau De Toilette and the lip balm and I can safely say I really like both. The perfume is gorgeous its so sweetly fragranced that its just perfect! And the lip balm is lovely and thick, and it carries the same gorgeous frangerance. Who knew apple would smell so divine? I'm excited to see what other goodies come out in apple around Christmas and what everybody thinks of it! I feel like everybody is going to love it.

Lastly, one of my favorite body shop products - a regular life saver for me! The tea tree oil. Its fantastic for spots. The type of spot that's so big it looks like it could wink at you! I simply pop it (naughty naughty, I know you're not supposed to!) and then I apply this on top and within hours you can see a remarkable difference. Its amazing. I always keep a pot of this in my makeup bag incase of emergency! So when it runs out I just have to get some more. (Even my mum loves this stuff!) Its 15% pure tea tree oil so it obviously smells very strongly of tea tree but it does the job and that's what I love. I can go from being a spotty mess to a spot-free goddess over night!! Ha ha. This is a must have product for me. :)

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday...

Christmas Bubble Bath ft Halloween Candles...

Good afternoon :)

Today I've well and truly spoilt myself with a luxurious festive bath. I love Halloween - I love the sweets, the autumn weather, the candles, the movies, everything... So when I went to the McAruther Glen outlet village in Swindon not long ago and saw the delightful Yankee Candle Halloween range I just couldn't resist! I treated myself to a few wax tarts because I feel as though they give out the strongest scent and lord knows I want a Halloween scented bedroom! Ha ha. In my bathroom this afternoon I had my Ghostly Treats tart on the go - and it smelt amazing!

Then, onto my actual bubble bath, I had a lovely hot bubbley bath. The products I used inside my bath were...

  • The Body Shop's Glazed Apple Bath Jelly...
  • The Body Shop's Glazed Apple Shower Gel...
  • Zoella's Fizz Bar Bath Bomb from Zoella Beauty...
  • The Body Shop's Sweet Lemon Body Scrub...

And let me tell you, it smelt fan-bloody-tastic in there!

Glazed Apple is The Body Shop's new Christmas 2014 scent... They did a sneak preview of it at their most recent Love Your Body event and when I smelt it I fell in love. It smells so good! So fresh and yummy... (I'm so bad as describing smells!) I absolutely love it so being able to have a sneak preview of it and the chance to buy some and bathe in it got me feeling really Christmassy! I know lots of people who will love this smell for their Christmas present! Ha ha, it has got me feeling well & truely in the festive spirit! (And its only October! Uh-oh.)

Next, onto skincare... Once a week I have a bloody long bath where I sit back, relax, do my skin care routine, shave my legs, do my mustache, do my hair mask, and all the other insanely attractive things us girls have to do! & I do it all whilst I'm having a good ol' soak... The skincare treats that I chose to use today were...

  • The Body Shop's Vitamin E Sink-In-Moisture Face Mask...
  • The Body Shop's Mircodermabrasion face scrub...
  • The Body Shop's Vitamin E sorbet...
  • & The Body Shops Vitamin E night cream...
My skin feels gorgeously soft & hydrated now. Oh yeah - resultttt! Ha ha.

Microdermabrasion is something I would recommend everyone to try. Its got lots of teeny-weeny particles in so it really does a good job or scrubbing the skin and making it feel super clean and soft. I've never had cleaner feeling skin! Ha ha. Although because its such a harsh scrub I would only recommend using it once a week. (Which is perfect if you're a lazy once-a-weeker like me!)

Vitamin E Sorbet is my all time favorite skin care product. I've wrote a whole post on it you can read that here! As for the Nourishing Night Cream this isn't something I used to be fan of. Using it everyday on my skin was to much moisture and I hated it - but using it once weekly has been really nice and refreshing. It gives me just enough hydration without giving me to much. I have been loving adding this to my weekly skin care routine.

Thirdly, hair care. I struggle massively with finding a hair care routine that suits me. But finally I have found a shampoo and conditioner that I love. And it is...

  • Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo...
  • Banana Conditioner...

I have written about both of these previously and will leave the link here. :)

Finally! The hair removal products I use (sexy, I know) are...

  • Satin Care Shaving Gel in Radiant Apricot...
  • Veet Hair Removal Cream...
  • Veet Gentle Finishing Cream...

I'm only sharing these with you because I never used to use a shave gel, I always used a bar of soap or maybe my shower gel, and don't get me wrong these worked fine but since I've been using the shave gel I have found my hair doesn't grow back as quick and I get a much smoother finish... And, lets face it, these are things we all want. (Unless of course you don't shave - in that case good on you!)

& that's everything. My beautiful Thursday afternoon bath.

Wednesday Adventure? I love my friends.

Hello ello ello!

Recently one of my very close friends, Jordan, left to go to university. We'd talked about it for so long that when it came around it didn't feel real! It felt like it was something that was never actually going to come around, but it did... And he's there now! Luckily he is really enjoying himself so although he isn't just down the road and I don't see him as often anymore, I know he is having a good time and that's what matters

Last night me and Jodie went down to Cheltenham to surprise him, and we so did! I Facetimed him and was chatting away and then I flipped the camera round to show the outside of his uni block...His face was priceless! He was completely unaware of where we were. He hung up the Facetime and raced downstairs to answer the door to us, it was so nice! It was so nice to see him and to see his life away from the environment we're used to him in (if that makes sense?)

Anyway, I'm not sure what the point of this post was. Just two say I love my friends and although they're moving away and living their own lives I'm still going to be a part of that! Apparently once you've been friends with someone for 7 years they'll be your friend for life! So unlucky Jord & Jode, you're stuck with me. ;)

Jordan has a tumblr page all about his life at uni...and although he'll probably hate me for sharing it with you, its worth a read! I do love a good laugh at his expense and experiences! So you can check that out here if you're interested.

Suffering from the Monday blues.

Evenin' :)

So, after leaving the house at 8:00am this morning and not setting foot in my house until 8:25pm tonight I think its safe to say I've had a long day and am definitely suffering with a case of the Monday Blues!

I have so much I want to blog about - but my house is a total wreck at the moment! I am having my bedroom decorated... Who knew how much effort it was to whack on a lick of paint? My belongings are taking over my mum and dads room, the landing and evening the hallway downstairs! Madness. Looking at all my stuff I think its safe to say I'm abit of a hoarder! Oops...

On Saturday I went shopping to Cabot Circus and went a wee bit shopping mad. £250 later and I have new clothes, new make up (although I'm ment to be on a spending ban!) and new furniture... I officially love ikea! Once my bedroom is all done I will share some of my new goodies, and maybe even a cheeky snap of my new room. :)

But yeah...I am sorry for the lack of posts this week but that is the honestly reason why! That and working full time is so life consuming - y'know when you look forward to your day off and you don't want to waste it...but you also want to wrap yourself up in a cocoon and sleep the day away? I suffer with that struggle all tha time. First world problems.

Lastly - don't you just love the change in the weather lately? As much as I moan about the cold, nothing beats wrapping up in a over-sized snuggley dressing gown, duck down duvet with hot chocolate, and a cheesey American TV show. (My current fav being 90210.) I am living the dream. Plus buying a new scarf and coat at the weekend was exciting and perfect timing.. New pink blanket scarf pictured above! ;) ...and it was only £6 in Primark! What a bargain!

Anyway; sorry for the rambley post I just felt I should explain the sudden silence over here! I hope you're not suffering with Monday blues like me...But if you are have a early night! I plan to go off to the land of nod now....

Night, Zzzzzzzzzz.
