Usually I find January a very depressing month - however this year it has been really refreshing. I started a diet (and have lost 10lbs!) and I quit drinking for January (I only failed once!), therefore I feel like a new woman who isn't as tired, has her life together more, and drinks alot more tea. January has been a really nice "stay-at-home" month for me and I have honestly loved it. Inbetween working, exercising, and going to the cinema I have had about 100 early nights and 1000 long hot baths - what a dream! I am also waiting to hear back about some very exciting news... February is looking bright!

Hello 2016! Please, please, don't go too quickly! I feel like only yesterday I was writing "hello 2015." Last year I moaned about how I wasn't organized or prepared for the year - this year I feel a little more ready! I've even got my "new years resolutions" ready!
- HEALTHY eating.
- QUIT smoking.
- STOP drinking (alcohol.)
- Read atleast one book a month.
- Feel more posotive & motivated for work.
- Sleep more.
- Start saving.
- Go on a holiday!
This is how my 2016 has looked so far...

Its currently 11:24 and I have to be up for work in 6 hours and 36 minutes - surely that makes this the perfect time to write my first blog post of 2016?
Decemeber was a crazy month - working in retail over Christmas is a mixture of things, it can be very rewarding, stressful, fun, emotional, and tiring all wrapped into one. Its the best time of year, and equally the worst. How many days did I get off for Christmas? One. Christmas day. How many did all my lucky family and friends get? 2 weeks... Can you sense I'm still slightly bitter about it? Haha. However, I still made the most of the festive period and made a hella lot of memories in the short and busy space of time!
The beginning of December saw myself, Jodie and Jordan have the cutest evening in Giraffe. We sat, ate, drank, and watched live music whilst reminiscing on memories and filling each other in on our latest bits of gossip. I'm very lucky to have these two as my friends after all this time - I can safely assume now that they're in my life for the long haul! *No escaping for you bitches, mwhaha.*
Then, it was time for my works Christmas party! If Christmas 2015 has taught me anything its definitely that Christmas brings alot of alcohol and I will have to make sure my liver is more prepared for next year! Although, my Christmas party was a complete success, I laughed too much, drank too much, ate too much and most definitely danced too much! Might've embarrassed myself a little bit in front of my new work colleagues but hey ho' break dancing to Justin Bieber whilst drinking pints of Strongbrow is always a classy look, right?
Considering I only started with this lovely lot in October I am surprised at how close we have all become! I genuinely cannot imagine life with them now! My work life just wouldn't be the same - however Christmas is always a sad time of year in retail because you meet Christmas temps, become friends, and then feel like you're saying goodbye to them before you've had chance to finish saying hello. The Christmas temps I worked with this year were so lovely, and so were/are the team I am lucky enough to work with while I'm in my new shop... They've made my Christmas 2015 very memorable!
After that craziness bought Squad home. Hallejuah. I can't believe this time last year I didn't know these guys! Now, they are like family. We argue a hella lot, and there are moments when I could happily hit a few of them with my car - but I wouldn't change any of them for the world and this Christmas was filled with amazing, crazy, and very memorable moments with them!
The Squad Christmas meal was possibly my favorite memory with these guys over Christmas - it was just the cutest thing for us all to be together, doing our favorite thing (eating), whilst giving banter, swapping presents, and just feeling right ol' festive! We pulled crackers, wore silly hats, and it was just amazing - I want to do it all over again...
Close second on favorite memories was our Christmas Eve night out - it was my first Christmas Eve out with friends and I wasn't quite prepared for the craziness it would bring! I can safely say I had one of the best nights out... From what I can remember! (Although I'm not sure my Christmas dinner tasted quite the same the next day...)
Christmas Eve aside, there was lots of other spontaneous nights out for me during December - spontaneous nights are my absolute favorite! I hope 2016 brings lots more nights like these - but maybe not as many embarrassing photos! *Holds head in shame - god damn you Snapchat!*
The final Decemeber night out was, of course, New Years Eve. I bought in the New Year being drunker than I have ever been before - and not only did I have the best time, I realised your friends ain't really your friends till they've cuddled you, on the floor, in an ambulance blanket, covered in your own wee and sick, whilst picking chips out your hair. If you ask me I would say that this was "ultimate squad goals." Haha - in all seriousness though New Years Eve was an amazing night! I genuinely had the best time and can't wait to see in 2017! (No doubt it'll be here quicker than we can imagine!)
And finally, the most important day of Decemeber, Christmas Day. Christmas Day for me is all about family - I am very lucky to have my family, I have alot of people around me who haven't got their complete families on Christmas Day and this year it made me realize how lucky I am to have mine with me, every year! (Although they might drive me crazy!) Christmas Day every year is just as special for me - although now I'm getting older I am starting to appreciate the mid afternoon naps my mum and dad have every year! Who'd have known that snoozing through the Queen's speech could feel so rewarding? As always I was very spoilt over Christmas and I always finish Decemeber feeling like a true Princess! *Bitches, where is my crown?*
So - to conclude! Decemeber has been amazing. Honestly, amazing. I think it may have been my favorite month of the whole year! (And 2015 was a pretty amazing year!) I ate too much, drank too much, worked too much, and definitely didn't sleep enough! But that's what January is for, isn't it? Recovering, sleeping. and accepting the fact you're skint because you paid that week earlier in Decemeber! God damnit! I have loved every second of Decemeber and I can't wait to see what 2016 brings for me... I feel really refreshed and ready to take on a new year! But for now I should probably get some sleep because, y'know, I have that minor thing called work in the morning! I hope you had an amazing Christmas & a memorable New Year. :)
